yeah, Geoff wants me to paint it but i got it for such a good deal that i would be losing that good deal by spending more money on it. I really wanted to shave it and polish it but that would cost all the money i saved on it.
although there is a large write up on putting a special heat resistant coating on it that would make it run 30 or degrees less that has shown some dyno proven gains. But once again, such a good deal is the only reason i would ever think about buying a $1800 when new manifold.
i dunno... i believe in extended value... and piss on polishing... maintenance on polished bits is a bitch... i wish i would have never put anything polished on my car (except for maybe my wheels that are still dirty)... in the future... powdercoated or heat treated all the way...
this place is supposed to be the shit and they offer a quote service, if you change your mind...
stock, painted, polished, shaved shrick manifold all sell for the same price +- $50
So there is no increase in value for doing so for something that will stay hidden under the hood unless i did a lot of pretty work. Plus police like shiny things, the more stock looking the better, even with the giant Schrick on the manifold.
The $300+ on the work i am going to use for suspension and or wheels.
